    @MicrophoneSpeaker1

*Jaw hits floor* I bet that was a sleepless night. I know that would of caused some minor paranoia in me, and a lot of drastic action.

    @HectorAwol
Thanks for sharing this tip with us.
And.. I feel so sorry for your friend getting one in his boxers. I’d probably wreck if they got in mine. There sneaky bugs. I have never had this much animosity for a bug, except for box elder bugs.(which do bite, at least the baby ones) I just started recently this year having a problem with earwigs, like they showed up outta no where.

  • HectorAwol:

Sounds about right! They need to be able to crawl in. Maybe if the jar as on it’s side! I’m in Australia and we are in Spring now so Summer is on it’s way! It probably will be hot and dusty here! Hector

Thanks for posting this video!! I tried to make one of these traps this summer and it didn’t work, but I think it was because the jar was too high, and didn’t have holes at the bottom for them to climb into.

  • TheDogs323232:

they can i have had one nip me

  • HectorAwol:

Yeah, I thought they can nip, too! I have never been nipped by earwigs although I have a mate who had one in his undies one day and he was driving at the time. He said it was not good! Could have caused an accident and I don’t mean in his pants!

  • ProwerBot:

Yes they do use their clippy thingy but it feels like almost nothing.

  • mdc2296:

actually they can not nip you.

  • ProwerBot:

There was one in my shower last night. It was gross.

  • ProwerBot:

    They’re gross

  • MicrophoneSpeaker1:

…I found 38 of them in my bed last night.

  • YeGraphicFilms:

    I Think That i’ll set up 3 traps :)
Thank you for the video !

  • HectorAwol:

It would be best to make more than one trap! But they wil come from near and far if you have a trap that is fairly close! Let me know how you go! Hector

  • YeGraphicFilms:

Hi, Um.. I have a question… The earwigs are in small holes around my house… Do i have to make more than 1 trap ?

  • HectorAwol:

Hi Joe, In bottle is just cooking oil. Can use any sort of oil, even the cheapest stuff. Just look in the cooking oil section of your super market . The smell of the oil attracts the earwigs and they get in it and and can’t get out. If you have lots of oil in the trap, they will drown but a little bit, they will slip around and die of exaustion. Put holes in container anyway you want. Even heat up a knife or skewer and melt holes through sides. Use in garden or inside. Tell me how you go.

  • joeenjoi:

oh wow my house i filled with thoughs ugly annoying things..and wow i am freaked when they are on the sealing i wish i could use this wut wus the stuff in the bottle? oil wut kind of oil

  • HectorAwol:

Thank you very much for you nice comment. I’m encouraged!

  • 51jake51:

Thanks SOOOOO much, you have no idea how much this helps. My neighborhood has been infested with these little buggers for quite some time now, and every night I kill at least 4 or 5. Thanks again. :D

  • mdc2296:

they are all over my house and they are bugging the crap out of me.

  • HectorAwol:

Earwigs breed very quick and they’re better not being around. They have nippers and it simply wouldn’t be pleasant having them nip you!

  • mdc2296:

why wouldn’t you want them near you?

  • lawlNinja:

    Sweeet Thanks!

  • HectorAwol:

Hi, yes you can. Maybe put another lid or dish underneath the trap to avoid any spill of oil. The oil is used to attract them! Hope you catch all them darn ear wigs!

  • lawlNinja:

Can I use this in my room to make sure they don’t crawl anywhere near me?
